Pump Pump Pump Pump me up !!!!

Posted on 27/07/2012 by MaZe

Czech this out! Czech artist David Cerny has turned a London bus into a robotic sculpture. Cerny bought the six tonne bus in Holland before attaching two gigantic electrical arms which lift the body of vehicle up and down.

Powered by an electrical engine, each push-up is accompanied by a recording of sounds evoking tough physical effort and video projections on the bus’ windows.

The Booster Bus will be on display outside what is usually the Business Design Centre in Islington, London, but is currently the Czech Olympic team’s HQ.

Futura 2000 Vs Hennessy Cognac

Posted on 15/07/2012 by MaZe

FUTURA-Hennessy-Bottle

New York Graffiti pioneer Futura (2000) was recently invited by Hennessy, the world-leading cognac distillery to create a limited edition of their VS Bottle! Prior to starting the task he visited Hennessy’s headquarters in Cognac, France to see a glimpse of the process and procedures and learn of the history behind the world famous brand.

FUTURA2000-Limited-Edition-Bottle

The bottle features Futura’s signature ‘helix’ visuals in bright colorways on the front of the bottle and on the cap very and a limited number of bottles will be available in some select Hennessy / liquor shops in coming months.

As ISTHISTHEFUTURE does not promote/encourage the consumption of alcohol our advice is that if you do manage to get your hands on a bottle – lock it away somewhere for this WILL be a collectors item worth MUCH more unopened !!!!

With just 21 days to go til the start of the 2012 London Olympics and all the controversy with the official clampdown on unofficial use of the Olympic logo/ rings we’ve decided to have a little trawl through the internet to bring you a selection of ‘sporting’ Olympic Graffiti and Street art images from artists with different perspectives on the ‘biggest show on earth.

Nike – Art Meets Innovation – Joanne Gair

Posted on 05/07/2012 by MaZe

When conceptualising Dynamic Fit, Nike’s team of researchers and designers referred to the breakthrough as ‘second skin‘. Enlisting the skills of Body paint and MUA artist Joanne Gair, Nike took the concept of second skin one step further; eliminating the space between foot and shoe by painting the Dynamic Fit-assisted Nike LunarEclipse+ 2 on to a model’s foot!
